Mr Kanji ("we", "our", "us") provides a Japanese learning app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

  • Email address (email sign-in or Google Sign-In)
  • Profile name (first name, last name)
  • Firebase user ID (UID)

Learning and app data

  • Study and quiz progress
  • SRS stages and due times
  • Daily activity and streak metrics
  • App settings (language, theme, notifications)
  • User-created notes/folders and related learning content
  • User-submitted kanji issue reports

Advertising-related data

  • Advertising identifiers and related device/app signals used by AdMob and partners to deliver and measure ads (subject to device and platform settings)

Notification-related data

  • Notification preference and schedule settings
  • Local notification scheduling metadata

2. How We Use Data

  • Provide and manage your account
  • Authenticate sign-in (including Google Sign-In)
  • Save and sync learning progress
  • Provide reminder notifications

3. Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data.

We use service providers that process data on our behalf, including:

  • Google Firebase (authentication and cloud data storage)
  • Google Sign-In
  • Google AdMob (ads delivery and measurement)

We keep account and learning data while your account is active, or as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

We use reasonable safeguards to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Account Deletion and Your Rights

You can delete your account in the app: Account -> Account actions -> Delete account.
